Project value: 2 .750.000,00 EUR, of which 2,360,000.00 EUR is grant.

Task: Aestus Consulting team was in charge of organizing and holding a regional workshop for the exchange of experiences and capacity building within the INTERREG MED project “BLUEISLANDS”.

Partners: 

• The lead partner is the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus,
• 14 partners from 8 countries including Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.

Solution: Successfully organized and held workshop within the project “BLUEISLANDS”, which aimed to raise awareness of the amount of waste, or variation in the amount of waste on the Mediterranean islands, during and outside the tourist season and its impact on island areas.

The results:

• The approved grants are intended to strengthen environmental responsibility for the purpose of identifying seasonal variations in waste, assessing the composition of waste and assessing the impact on the environment, as well as for environmental protection and responsible waste management.
